Agree. You can’t improve if you don’t beat the teams you are (relatively) evenly matched with. Games like these can bring confidence to a downtrodden squad and swing momentum after the utter collapse in Seattle.
If we had beaten the bad teams we should have in recent years (Colorado, Nevada, Arizona) and erased a single random win per season against a good team like Washington, we would have made a bowl and approached .500 records in conference, at least a few times. I would much rather have that.
It’s one of the most frustrating parts of Wilcox’s tenure to me - losing to teams we should beat every single season.
It's not about trading, beggars can't be choosers. We are either going to lose against the ranked PAC teams or lose against the ranked PAC teams AND lose against ASU and Furd
Thanks for the analysis -as always very well written.
If we don’t score more than 21 points on this defense, it’ll be a 3 or 4 win season.
MY MAIN CONCERN IS WITH THEIR PASSING OFFENSE. LETS SEE IF WE CAN FINALLY GET AN EFFECTIVE QB RUSH GOING! gerber
Why do you say that? This game, along with the Big Game, are the only realistic wins we have left on the schedule.

You will have your chance to avenge us and redeem yourselves three weeks from tomorrow. 😉
I would not.
