Stanford baseball. Wow. Arguably the most consistent program in American men's college sports over the past 40 years with 34 NCAA Tournament appearances and 17 trips to the College World Series isn't just meh. They're HORRIBLE. Unwatchable. I was at the final Cal Stanford PAC-12 conference game at Sunken Diamond a couple weeks ago. The defense has always been flawless. Not this year. The pitching has always been solid. Not this year. In fact, they're now 20-30. Eight straight losses and outscored 76-25 in those eight games. Their RPI has dropped to 150!!! But we can be certain David Esquer has no concerns for his job. You can make book on the fact that not one Stanford donor has complained to The Jaquish & Kenninger Director of Athletics, Bernard Muir.

BTW, the moment I learned of the betrayal by USC & fUCLA, I said their baseball programs would be destroyed by the move to the B1G. At this moment, USC, the 12-time National Champion is 26-27 with an RPI of 88 and fUCLA is 17-33 with an RPI of 188. HOLY SHIT.

Meanwhile, the move to the ACC is great for baseball. 4 of the top 9 in the RPI are ACC schools. But, the top 4 are all SEC. Yikes.

SEC has two baseball powerhouses, so not much you can do about that.

Not true at all. The entire conference is a powerhouse
