As mentioned defense and our successful free-throw shooting were big factors in winning the close ones this year. Presumably as guys grow into the system Fox is teaching it will make us more competitive on the road, where we had our problems. I know some folks have concerns about offense and whether or not Fox' philosophy (perhaps old-school) will enable us to become a 20-game winner in the forthcoming seasons.

Talent is only part of the equation - he's certainly good enough (and big and strong and fast) enough to be an NBA player. But that's only part of the equation - you need an opportunity and an NBA front office that believes in you too. Unfortunately talent alone isn't enough - see Ty Wallace and Ivan Rabb's struggles going up and down to the G-League.

The 3 point shooting, the decent ball skills and the wingspan would be good - but 2021 is a deep and talented class. He's not on a lot of draft big boards (or any)

And yet Ty and Ivan were on draft lists before the draft. I'm saying it's not about his talent - there's about 500 other players who are good enough to be in the NBA and who are not. And it has nothing to do with talent. Fringe NBA players need to have a front office person (scout, general manager, coach, assistant coach) to fall in love with them and their game and go to bat for them.

He has a pretty clear path as a 3-and-D guy

I'm an O'Dowd alum. We've managed to send a few guys to Cal over the years. Ivan Rabb, Paris, and now Bowser. Also there are a couple of super-talented frosh and sophormores on that team, which was ranked no. 1 in Northern California in the Chron's imaginary season finish. Would probably have contended for the state title if not for Covid19

I've seen a couple of snippets. I understand he is a decent shooter and defender, should be a candidate to play on the wing. I didn't see the team play this year but have heard a lot about Marsalis Roberson and Jalen Lewis, a 6'8" freshman, from some friends who go to the games.
