Then Mike Williams and Jim Knowlton made the inexplicable decision to cancel the men’s basketball program for six years

Jim Knowlton should be indicted

Along with Larry Scott. Can't believe that f'er got rich and left the Pac in shambles.

Yep.

Scott actually committed fraud…Knowlton just was one.

"Total Compensation: Reports indicate Scott took home just under $49 million in base salary, bonuses, and severance through 2023, with final payments expected to bring his total to around $50.5 million.

Pac-12 Compensation: In 2019-20, he was the highest-paid conference commissioner at $5.4 million. His 2021 pay was roughly $4 million for six months of work before leaving in June [14].

Severance Package: Following his departure in 2021, Scott received a severance package that included $1.5 million payments in 2022 and additional bonuses [14, 32]."

Administrators are some of the craftiest thieves in the US. Get rich, leave a dumpster fire in their wake, and polish their resumes along the way. Crazy.

All that compensation for being a failure at what he was hired to do. Its infuriating.

Such is the way in athletics it seems. Guaranteed money; it's terrible.

One down to the 6-3 I was thinking. Much closer than I would like, but nice to see us survive a big lead meltdown. I am not expecting a win against Clemson (one of the three in the 6-3) but when I read that the Tigers have one of the longest road winning streaks out there, that's just inviting us to win.

On a somewhat related note, happy to see Shantay Legans coach Portland to an upset win against Gonzaga. I liked his style of play when he played for us and I was cool when he transferred after three seasons to play for his godfather at Fresno State.

Nice article. We’re gonna see all sorts of games during a season. The thing I like about this team is that they just keep on going forward and keep on fighting. Sometimes you just need to survive and move on to better games.

ACC is tough. The pundits can talk about easiest schedule down the stretch but I don't think any ACC game is a gimme.

Baye Ndongo is a beast (hope his injury was not serious). Madsen should get his number...

I'll be there Saturday! Hoping for the best! (I was at Louisville; not a great result. but also at UNC, which was! So this is my chance to get over .500!)

Not a great win for rankings that include margin of victory, but still a very necessary win. All credit to the team for finding ways to win without Dort. It may take some luck and superlative individual performances, but every game on our schedule is winnable. Being on the bubble just means we get into the Tournament mindset early.

Grateful we won. But man, many unforced errors, missed free throws. GT couldn't hit the basket in the 1st half. We didn't come out strong in the 2nd half, need to fix that. The aggressiveness from the big men on the high pick and roll is OUTSTANDING! It creates havoc, turn overs, and early shots that GT missed. ROLL ON!

Heck of a write up and heck of a game. The second half reminded me a little bit of Cal football for some reason. Good to win it. Am looking forward to watching the Clemson game. Go Bears!

Last night, ignorant of the game until I saw "highlights of Cal GT" and scratched my head "did they play and finish already? and what pray tell is the outcome"? Viewing of the first half highlights, I said to myself, oh this is a sure win. Watching the 2nd half....uh oh.
