Why must WFC be a purveyor/conveyor of gambling stats? There must be plenty of places where this info can be obtained by those who just gotta have it. Why, on our supposedly fan-based site borne of loyalty to Golden Bear athletics, must we dive into the slippery slope of wagering that may well ruin all college and professional sports for everyone? Not to mention, online betting and phones will be the next fentanyl-type addiction epidemic for 18-35-year-old males. Asking for a friend.
We decided to provide gambling stats because we thought more info about the team would be better than less.
Some folks, even if they don't gamble, like to read gambling stats to understand what others (oddsmakers, bettors) think about a game. They then discuss or react to the odds and stats.
The gambling stats also help our site reach new readers and subscribers.
Understood. I disagree with the logic and short-sightedness of your collective decision, but I understand. Thank you for responding.
Would your cadre be willing to offer an advisory — similar to, as you do each week, letting readers know that WFC does not provide live video feeds of games — to the effect that gambling addiction is real, and there is help available if one has a problem? All the ads do it, disingenuous though they may be.
22 points is too many, IMHO.
At game. Very few people here.
Tickets were selling for Stubhub for $10 each this morning :(
An excellent value!! But concession stand continues to be disappointing. The best part is the overall fun brand of basketball by the Bears.
