Unfortunately, I was at the game. First loss witnessed for me. This team had a great run, and I'm sure my friend will get to stay for another year (one of his parents is a coach). Check out my review btw if you want!

Columbia's offensive rebounding was phenomenal. Was not a fan of how Charmin managed the end of the game, but she made good adjustments with the team to get us in a position where it mattered.

Agree with everything in the article. We should be dancing with a year of experience if we get a strong center. We will need to see if the Portal giveth more than it taketh.

I thoroughly enjoyed watching this team play this season with all of their ups and downs, untimely injuries and three-pointers. We beat two teams in the Sweet Sixteen (Notre Dame, Virginia) and gave a scare to another one in Paris to start the season with two freshmen in the line-up (Vanderbilt).

GM Meghin Williams was on the job all of two weeks or so last year when she was able to sign Sakima, Mjracle and Naya from the portal. I think she will do even bigger things this off-season. And that includes retaining the core players and signing some outstanding transfers from the portal.

I firmly believe that Lulu wants to play alongside the two Aussies (Ruby Perkins, Zara Russell) coming in next season. You too, come on back, Gisella, Mjracle, Taylor, Puff!!

Roll on you Bears!!

Commitment and teamwork; plus, a degree from Berkeley will serve you well your entire life. Think long term, stay home, and Go Bears.

sometimes, as a basketball fan, you just have to appreciate the sport in motion. #24 for Columbia was hitting tough shots late and I thoroughly enjoyed watching her play, albeit at Cal's expense.

My feelings on the portal are that players will come and go. It's up to the staff to replace departures with equal or greater talent; getting players that raise the floor of the program and even "addition by subtraction". Not many WBB teams actually field the full 15 roster spots, choosing to have a roster between 12-14. I think revenue split is a big reason. I have a feeling this team will look very different next year but for the better.

Weiss was Ivy League player of the year and sure looked that way. Page was Ivy League defensive player of the year but was high scorer. Yow.

If the Bears can keep the core together and add a few in the portal with the freshmen coming in they'll be in good shape next season. But these days that's a might big if.

I thought last night was interesting because it showed the best and worst of Charmin. She builds teams that do not quit and play tough d for 40 minutes but her half court offenses can be sadly lacking as seen in the last few possessions last night.

Perhaps Charmin needs to find a more offensive-minded assistant coach during this off-season. Does that mean adding a coach or replacing a current coach? Hmmmmm.

Remember when Princeton regularly beat the big boys I “upsets” and made runs in NCAA? They had talent, but more so a great coach who drilled discipline, old fashion basketball (e.g. the give and go). I wasn’t able to watch this game but sounds like Columbia took a page out of that same book
