Back to back low-stress Saturdays!

So delightful.

Actually 3 straight. OSU really wasn’t stressful.

There is an old Bowie song with the line: "when it's good, it's really good. When it's bad, I go to pieces." That is Cal football.

Miami finally getting the long due loss. Should've been a 7-3 team.

A stress free Saturday! What a bonanza!

Always love a Joe Starkey reference! I like this get the stress over with and enjoy Saturday concept.

Miami were much luckier than they are good. The luck/referee thumb on the scale just ran out

Well done, Georgia Tech!

At least another nerd school did, finally, unhitch the Miami wagon.

Ward is brilliant and also a turnover machine. He'll be Jameis Winston II in the NFL

abqbear's avatar

Better DEs in the NFL won't allow him to extend plays so long

Miami is a very dirty team.

What a great result! Was so cathartic to see Miami deservedly collapsing and being exposed.

Please GATech, don’t do what we did and keep doing what you were doing until the game ends.

Stanford over Scuse is evidence enough but the Bears have to not think about who they’re playing and go hard for 4 quarters.

Two targeting calls already overturned for Miami midway through the second quarter, those ol’ Canes can do no wrong!

Bowlesman 80's avatar

Shhh...

We're not supposed to notice.

Is it me, but am I the only one that does not particularly like and gets a bad vibe from ACC Commissioner Jim Phillips?

Heino's avatar

And here’s another one. Let’s see …

Bowlesman 80's avatar

Whatta' ya' know? Bet it hurt their wallets to make that call.

Such a dangerous play just now. Miami face mask on GT player made helmet start to come off and then another Miami player targeted the head area.

Seeing Miami lose would make my day! Normally I would root for fellow conference teams that have a chance to play for the national championship but not in this case. Atlantic Coast Trojans?

About time they got one right…brutal hit…Miami got away with another personal foul earlier in the 2nd half.

ak_A_bear's avatar

man downfield ....hmmm

AKBear's avatar

Now their players are celebrating with the player ejected. Wonder if they have a bounty program?

Syracuse looks beatable. Really like the way Jet has improved over the year. The extra muscle he put on has really helped him this year. He will continue to get stronger and maintain his “Jet” like speed.

abqbear's avatar

Stanford beating Syracuse at home showed that Syracuse is definitely beatable.

I rooted for GT today. Nice to see the Canes lose. Their first loss should have been at Memorial a while back. I still think of that night (and the Oregon State loss with the Kevin Riley run) whenever I go to my seats.

KJ: Today's GT-Miami game made me think of the bullshit no-call on targeting that the Hurricanes got away with in Berkeley. Had the right call been made (and it was targeting), we would have had a fifteen yard penalty, a first down and would have been able to milk the clock! They didn't get away with it today in Atlanta and that is one of the reasons they lost. Also, GT has a much better O-line than us so they were able to keep sustaining drives (mostly runs) and keep Ward and the Miami offense off the field. We tried the same thing against the Hurricanes but we just couldn't sustain drives in the fourth quarter. What could have been. Sigh......

2004 USC game is also up there in the "what could have been" list.
