They have a really cool hill climb competition. There was a car that is electric and has vacuum to suck down to the road and I think last year (?) it set the record.

They're delicious. A bit like cornish game hens. My dad was a hunter and once brought back a healthy take of chukars. We had chukar stew with morels. One of the best meals I've ever had.

Sixth-inning collapse mars Bryce Eldridge debut (Giants lose to the Dbacks 8-1)

https://www.mccoveychronicles.com/san-francisco-giants-scores-standings-nl-west/100787/sixth-inning-collapse-mars-bryce-eldridge-debut

It was unclear all season if the San Francisco Giants would call up top prospect Bryce Eldridge from the minors, but an injury to Dominic Smith and a slump from the New York Mets made the team pull the trigger in hopes of jump-starting their offense. Monday in Arizona, the offense remained dead in an 8-1 loss.

Phillies outlast the Dodgers in a game with postseason-like energy

https://www.truebluela.com/dodgers-scores-standings/103848/dodgers-phillies-recap-loss-pages-betts-harper-schwarber

With too many back-and-forths to count, the Phillies managed to connect the last punch, winning it in extras, 6-5. In doing so, Philadelphia secured the NL East title and put a big dent in Los Angeles’ rather small chance of potentially running down that number two seed and the incredibly valuable bye it secures.

The right-wing freakout over people "celebrating" Charlie Kirk's death (some of them really weren't, just being critical of the man) is a hilarious inversion of the left-wing "cancel culture" we observed 5-10 years ago. They are making the exact same arguments for why they are brigading and getting people fired from their jobs now. It's freedom of speech, not freedom from consequences! Now that it's people I don't like!

Wow. There are more than a few films of his that I have enjoyed over the years. The first one I ever saw was not Barefoot in the Park, although I've also seen that one several times, but Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, on its original release. At the Oaks Theater on Solano Ave., which is no longer a theater but a rock climbing gym.

His folks allowed him to buy a dirt bike, cause he had a job checking groceries. Me, no job, besides my folks would have vetoed it. 2 months later he had a cast on his leg.
