[MBB] Bears Perfect On Day 1 At ITA Sectionals, Masters

https://calbears.com/news/2025/11/6/cal-mens-basketball-delivers-gutsy-77-67-win-over-wright-state.aspx

BERKELEY -- The California men's basketball team picked up the pace in the second half and stayed out ahead of visiting Wright State to claim the Golden Bears' second win of 2025-26 on a 77-67 victory over the Raiders tonight at Haas Pavilion. It was a four-point game in the final three minutes of action before Cal extended its advantage with some stingy defense down the stretch. Once again, Cal had four players hit double digits, led by Dai Dai Ames' game-high 23 points on the night. Cal is now 2-0 overall, and Wright State goes to 1-1.

Scout was added in '74 or '75, I think. When I started, Tenderfoot was the entry-level rank. My highest rank was Life scout.

Has it been simplified so games don't last as long? In the age of not wanting things to go too long (see baseball), I could see game manufacturers trying to simplify games to make them take shorter time. Like Risk. I could see them trying to make Risk go faster.

i played a new version of Risk about a year ago. it was mostly the same.

i couldnt tell if they changed the rules a little or if the kids i was playing w/ had different house rules. there was a decided advantage for the defender compared to what i remember.

I remember as a defender, your 6 beats the attacker's 6. But attacker rolls 3 dice vs defender's 2.
