Glad we have a few more games of this rivalry. I'm bummed for the students if it doesn't continue- it was always such a good time to do the LA roadtrip when possible, plus fun to have friends at the home-game school come up.

It's great for us in Berkeley if the game continues as early in the season as it does this year. Cal has already started classes (fuller student section), but fUCLA doesn't start until next month, so if the games at the Rose Bowl are this early in the season, then attendance will more likely be as, um, enthusiastic as it was at the Coliseum last week at U$C.

Twist was one of the founders of California Golden Blogs (predecessor of WFC) way back in the late 2000s(?), along with Ragnarok. We used to make fun of him on CGB (Twist's wedding night, punch twist, etc). He doesn't come around to WFC anymore (stays behind the scenes) so we just add PUNCH TWIST to the poll.

Understood. Thanks again. I know there’s a whole ecosystem of hard-core fans and alums who meet at games and went to Cal at the same time. For us longer-ago grads who hang on by the great WFC thread, the inside jokes fly over our heads like a baseball moonshot. Your understanding, empathy and even pity are always appreciated. Go Bears.
