The Bear Season 5 (The last one, 19/19 FX) - I thought they did a great job with the last season. Starts off with everything that could go wrong going wrong, and more of it as the season goes on. They did tie everything in a bow at the end. No spoilers so I won't go into too much more detail. But I really enjoyed it.
The Golden State Valkyries finished the 2026 regular season by completing the largest comeback in franchise history, defeating the Los Angeles Sparks 76-75 on Thursday night at Crypto.com Arena. With the win, the Valkyries secured the No. 2 seed in the WNBA playoffs and will host the Dallas Wings in the first round.
The Valkyries trailed by as many as 16 points in the second half, and by 12 points with under four minutes to go in regulation, but Gabby Williams and Kaitlyn Chen propelled the Valkyries to victory in the fourth quarter.
Trailing 71-59, the Valkyries went on a 17-1 run to turn a 12-point deficit into a four-point lead in the game's final seconds. The Valkyries held the Sparks offense without a field goal for over 4.5 minutes, while Gabby Williams and Kaitlyn Chen rattled off 18 consecutive points from the Valkyries in the final frame.
The last two team the Valkyries played were out of the playoffs, but they played like they wanted to be giant killers. The Fire succeeded, and the Sparks almost did.
Giants have the off-day, waiting for the Dodgers to come into town for the last series of the year. I'm going on Sat. Want to see Skubal, but he's pitching tonight.
Sun JimmyChitwood is using my tickets and Kruk is retiring. My first memory is of him around 83 in a video my friend recorded where the new players were being introduced and he said, "Hi, I'm Mike Krukow, and I HATE the Dodgers".

BERKELEY – The No. 4 California men's water polo defeated Saint Mary's 22-8 Thursday at Spieker Aquatics Complex in the two programs' inaugural meeting.
Sophomore Beso Akhlvediani only needed two and a half quarters in the pool to lead all players with seven points, collecting a hat trick with four assists and two steals. Six other Golden Bears joined him in with multi-goal efforts including Dominic Brown who had a team-high four goals on four attempts. Fellow center Ilias Angelopoulos was perfect from the field as well as the freshman went 2-for-2 with a drawn exclusion.
CHESTNUT HILLS, Mass. – The California women's soccer team defeated Boston College in a Thursday evening matchup at Newton Soccer Field, earning its first ACC win of the season. The Bears improved to 3-4-4 overall and 1-2-1 in ACC play.

The California Golden Bears volleyball team is on the road this week, as they will begin ACC play after one of their strongest nonconference showings in the past few seasons.
The Golden Bears will head into ACC play with a 10-1 record on the year, with their lone loss of the season coming against Saint Mary's in five sets. Cal is also riding an eight game winning streak, which is their longest since 2023 when they rattled off 12 in a row.
