Cop killer linked to Boogaloo thinking. To paraphrase, he was pissed that counter-protesting against BLM was focused on using arms to protect government oppressors, not fight them.
The Silk Speaker Series at the University of San Francisco is pleased to welcome three-time NBA champion and two-time MVP Stephen Curry for a virtual conversation with Dr. Clarence Jones, director of USF's Institute for Nonviolence and Social Justice and former lawyer and speech writer to Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
Join us for a discussion about the power of education, generational activism, and the impact of our voices.
As part of this virtual event, the USF community and Stephen and Ayesha Curry seek to encourage support for the critical research and services of the university's Institute for Nonviolence and Social Justice. The Currys' personal family foundation, Eat. Learn. Play., has agreed to match every dollar raised to the institute, up to $50,000, through June 30. We hope you'll join us in supporting students, activists, and thinkers confronting injustice and inhumanity in all forms.
This article details a 2-year investigation wherein the authors traced the origin of every piece of Morrill Act land deeded to every LGU in the nation. Astonishingly, this data had never been compiled. Unsurprisingly, the investigation casts a pretty dark pall over LGUs as it records the compensation tribes received in return. Some universities, such as Oregon State, still have this land on their ledgers producing income.
