Golden Nuggets: 150 Years of Rowing, A Look at the Calgorithm, and Cal on the Radio
Another distraction while the coaching carousel rolls on.
Hello and welcome to Golden Nuggets, our weekly recap article where we try to highlight all the fun, funny, or interesting things you might have missed roughly over the last week across Bear Territory (the whole damn world of course).

California Rowing at 150-Years Old
You’d think they’d have made it across the river but I guess it takes a long time. Anyways, Cal Athletics released a 30-minutes documentary about Cal Rowing as they celebrate 150 years of the sport at Cal!
Learning About the Calgorithm
This past week, Christopher Kamrani of The Athletic/New York Times published an article in the works for a bit looking at how college football fits in around Berkeley (spoiler, the picture Fox News paints is inaccurate!) It’s a great article looking at all levels of the program, from General Manager to Head Coach, Chancellor, and down to fans. It also includes this section:

Had never heard of Cynt Marshall. Looked her up on Wiki. Quite the amazing life. Thanks for educating me.
In Philly, we've had the pleasure of watching the men's and women's crew teams compete in many IRA and NCAA championships over the years. I have grown to have a great appreciation for the dedication and skill of these athletes. They also have quite of community of support around them!
