It has been an incredible year to be a California Golden Bear fan. We know this iteration of Cal fandom is coming to an end, so the staff want to wish all of you the best of holiday seasons as 2024 winds down.
It has had its ups and downs, highs and lows, the deepest of sadness and the greatest of joy. But oh did we all live.
Thanks to Callie for creating this wonderful Holiday card! And thanks to all our staff members who also have contributed this year, from Rick Chen to Erik Johannessen, to Christopher Zheng, to Lindsey Gailmard, to John Mayfield and beyond. This site would not operate at the level it does without our vast array of creators and creatives.
And thank you to our readers. We hit 5000+ subscribers as we approach the eve of our fifth anniversary of our launch. We expect to keep on climbing into 2025. The community only grows stronger every year, and here we keep hoping for more.
And never forget what to tell the whole damn world where they are.

And maybe, just maybe, it's time to bring some of that big Write4Cal energy over to an audience on Bluesky that's also sincerely wanting some of the Calgorithm energy that appears wasted on the old hellsite. Here's hoping that's happening in 2025!
