The California Golden Bears travel to Inglewood, Calif., to take on the No. 24 UNLV Rebels
The California Golden Bears (6-6) are in Inglewood, Calif., at SoFi Stadium Wednesday night to face off against the No. 24 UNLV Rebels (10-3) in the LA Bowl Hosted by Gronk.
California will play in its second-straight bowl game and hopes to earn a winning record in post-season bowl games. The Golden Bears have a 12-12-1 all-time record in bowls and will be without quarterback Fernando Mendoza, who recently entered the transfer portal.
The Rebels have had a strong season and are currently ranked 24th in the national coaches poll. UNLV is the Mountain West Conference’s runner-up, losing 7-21 to Boise State in the conference’s championship game earlier this month. UNLV will also have an interim coach leading play tonight after head coach Barry Odom left the program.

I'll be watching! Hope it's a victorious send off for graduating and departing players. Win or lose, I also hope no serious injuries result from this exhibition, especially for our players with NFL aspirations who are risking their draft stock to suit up today.

I'm glad there were no one entering the transfer portal and deciding to play the last few days. I'm sure some will be entering the portal after this game, but at least those guys chose to play with the teammates and accept potential injury risks as well.
