I DVR'd it and watched some of the game last night. Saw the first OSU drive and it looked they would dominate. Fast forwarding, I saw that it was kind of a pitiful performance.

With the CPS, the other Bowl games are more like exhibitions than real football games, especially these lower level made-up bowls.

And highly regarded BYU just got beat by University of Alabama at Birmingham. So much for the BYU coach who applied for the Oregon HC job being a great defensive coach.

PAC12 O-fer so far in this bowl season. Easily the worst game the Beavers have played all year, at least for the several I watched. The cornerstone of their team, the OL, got blown up. It didn't help that the entire team played w/ no discipline. Costly penalties on both sides of the ball. I thought Smith would have had them better prepared. But they were embarrassed.

Gobears49,

Seems very odd and indicates how low the Mountain West is regarded in football, to have the champion of the Mountain West, Utah State, which won it's championahip game against San Diego State, today play a bowl game against the third place team in the Pac 12 north, Oregon St., which didn't qualify for the Pac 12 championship game. Why is the second place team in the Pac 12 North, Washington St., not playing against Utah St. today. See the Pac 12 North football standings.

May be a good reason for this, but one doesn't jump out at me.

BTW, I'm certainly not going to check, but early this football season I believe the Mountain West may have had a better record than the Pac 12 in head to head games. Don't know how that stat ended up.
