Pac-12 Networks. Great. More punishment. It used to be that most Cal and Stanford students came from the Bay Area or at least Southern California. Now they come from all over the place and don't see the Big Game as any different from any other game.
Back in the Sixties when both teams sucked (sound familiar?) the Big Game always sold out just the same and well in advance. Those were different times, of course. Traditions don't mean as much now and there are more diversions.
I think handicapping how many people will be in the stands will be more fun than trying to figure out the game itself. I think both teams' fan bases are tuned out and don't look at the Big Game as a pilgrimage the way they did 30 years ago. My guess is 45,000 actual butts in the seats, and less if it is really cold or raining.
Kick-Off time announced for the 125th Big Game
wtf axe is that? Come on Cal marketing dept. jeez.
please lord let us have at least this one
