NCAA Football 25 comes out this week: Jaydn Ott ranked 25th best player
This plus first looks at Memorial Stadium and actual gameplay for the Cal Bears
As many college football fans know by now, it’s NCAA Football 25 week. The return of the EA Sports video game on July 19 (coming after over a decade of lawsuits for using player likeness for profit for a major video game) has been circled on the calendar for months.
It’s no surprise that the Cal player they hold in highest esteem is one Jaydn Ott.
Last Wednesday, EA Sports released its Top 100 players in the upcoming EA Sports College Football 25 video game. Ott landed a 93 overall rating, placing him 25th overall, fifth among all running backs. Ott is the only California Golden Bear on the list.
Ott was fifth among the 14 running backs who made the game's Top 100 players, He tied for the highest acceleration rating (97 out of 99), received a 92 speed rating and 95 awareness rating. He is third among all ACC players.
There were some shots of California Memorial Stadium in the recent NCAA Football trailer. Take a look at our lovely home decked in coordinated blue and gold stripes!
This is all beta footage below, but you can get a sense as to what the gameplay will look like in a Cal game below.
Here is some additional footage of Fernando Mendoza throwing a touchdown to Tobias Merriweather (at 8:52).
Although the uniform reveal will likely come on Monday to coincide with this week’s game release, it does not appear that this uniform you see in the above gameplay is the most up-to-date version. So expect more surprises to come this week from both the game and the uniforms.
Also, Kirk Herbstreit is looking great.
Well-deserved recognition for Jayden.
Wish CMS was this crowded and color-coordinated IRL.
What'll his ranking be after he wins the Heisman?
