We're in a death spiral. We likely lose to WSU this weekend and then head out on the road where even OSU will probably be favored. Maybe this dirge finally forces Knowlton's hand.
Seems like Fox will get one more year. Firing him at the end of the season might be expensive, so more than likely he will stay. After all the APR is 100% and that's the most important stat to the administration.
We'll see. I think you're unfortunately right as of now, but this streak could get long and hopeless. And at the end of the day, his fate will be determined by donors. If they've seen enough and are willing to turn the page, that's what will happen. But hard to tell if they even care, which is troubling.
Donor apathy is the worst result imaginable. Fox could actually get extended.
Unless the NCAA changed the rules, Bradley’s transfer will impact the academic side of things for MBB...transfers leaving your program impacts the grad rate, at least it did when I worked in Compliance.
Washington shot the lights out in Haas, mostly on contested threes. Not much that could be done. Still I fear we will end the season without anymore W's.
At least it wasn't as bad as Nick's 84-61 subheading suggests; it was only 84-63. Still, jumping on that UW - 20 line would have been a good investment.
Lars’ improvement has been a real highlight of the season. Wish he was more physical rebounding the ball, especially in traffic, and going to the tin...(a 7’er should NEVER get swatted on a layup at the collegiate level - dunk that schitt), but he’s definitely better, and with the better free throw stroke (78%), he can definitely give you 6 a game next year. He’s gotta board better.
Of greater concern is Fox. Celestine, Alajiki, & Anwanyu are decent enough ball players, I just don’t have much faith in Fox to maximize their potential next year...
I did not like this answer. https://twitter.com/rob11hwang/status/1489504404046684161?s=21
Fire Fox immediately
Must have been interesting for Cal fans seeing Why?king Jones sitting on the bench at Haas last night.
Weird kind of time-warp thing to see him back at Haas.

Andre Kelly out for the year...we may not win another game.

Nope pretty cheap buyout

Huskies have the look of a squad that could conceivably get hot in the Conference tourney
bright spots:
Anyanwu looked good, going 4-5 and 10 points, including a 10 footer from the wing, and some scrappy rebounds.
Marsalis Roberson able to dish two dimes while on the move (but his shooting is a big problem)
Lars actually played UW's center better than Kelly, and overall Lars had his second solid game in a row
Klonaras finally gets off the bench, scores 2 baskets and grabs 2 boards. He even had a small rooting section
The problem is the good stuff above all happened when the game was long over
