The Cal coaching staff you'll see in 2021 will be very different than the group that led the Bears in 2019. Will staff changes over the last two years elevate the program to new heights?
I feel like the community as a whole really didn't give Musgrave enough credit for what he did last year. To me at least an I'm not sure how the metrics would add up, but the eye test for the offense was a lot better than the last 2 seasons (aside from the end of 2019). To me there were a lot more explosive plays, especially in the run game vs Furd and through the air vs OSU. Considering it was only a farce of an offseason and we only got 4 games in, I'm more optimistic than most for the future of our offense (even if we always put the offense in neutral in Q3)
The ship is going in the right direction. It is actually a feather in Wilcox' cap that he has had successful position coaches that are recognized as good enough to poach. Now we need to re-load.
Excellent article. Thank you. This is why I keep saying "In Wilcox I trust". Other than in GA, we have stayed at least even or improved in his hires, IMO. Jury out on Musgrave, but hard to argue he isn't better on paper. Really curious what happens with the two openings now, and hope for news very soon giving spring training and all. And who else here is expecting butts in seats at Memorial for this Fall?
long time first time. When can we expect Wilcox 2.7? Really curious about THAT specific patch update.
