I hope we can cope with the loss of Antzoulatos for the season. Hopefully some of the even younger guys can step up. Developing quality depth has been (and seemingly will always be) an issue at Cal.
I think we are OK at ILB, lots of talent and Pac12 caliber players. Sure we lack experience but I feel that will be mitigated somewhat with what should be a much better DL. In fact, this should be our best DL during the Wilcox tenure. Although now that I think about it, I wonder if Stanley will be taking some time off to deal with his father's passing.
"Something worth knowing is that both of them gained 10 lbs each to further add some sturdiness up the middle and some heft to absorb impact in the ILB spot." -
Garbers has a ton of experience and snaps. It’s not uncommon for the backups to have much less experience and snaps at that position because you don’t really rotate that position like you can/do at LB.
It seems like Milner has the most upside. I expect him to win the job next year unless Chase decides to stay one more year. He has that option because of Covid.
As written, I think your acronym is actually "PAINT". Our ILBs are about to go all Monet on your ass.

Grrr Bears.

yes, that's why I also gained ten pounds.
Are you saying you added something to your middle other than sturdiness?
That 10 lbs is rookie stuff. This Sloppy Golden Bear has recently turned 20 lbs of 75% lean bodyweight into 40 lbs of 120% pure fat.
You learned! Yes in football you count snaps not minutes.
I agree that this is our weakest unit in terms of experience and depth.
QB is our weakest unit, no experience as in zero and really only Millner as a potential Pac12 QB.

But Garbers has a lot of experience. He's a RS Senior now.

perhaps Glover is OK, dunno. he hasn't practiced much since his arrival.
So I guess that would be in the next few days when the Cal depth chart is released for Nevada.
