Comments on rounds 2 and 3:

- As a new Detroit Lions fan, I am grateful to the Lions for drafting Pac-12 players I am already very familiar with.

- Davis Mills in the 3rd round. I didn't even realize he had declared for the draft until the other day. He definitely has talent, but he was nowhere near NFL-ready. The fact that the Cal secondary ate him for breakfast should have been a sign that he wasn't ready, but I am still happy he'll be gone.

- Stanford CB Paulson Adebo in the 3rd round is lower than I expected, but I also overestimated the market for DBs. However, just a few spots below Adebo... Oregon State CB Nashon Wright! I've been a fan of his, but I had no idea he'd get drafted so high. I guess one of the reasons I liked him (along with other OSU players) is that I felt he wasn't getting any respect... but the NFL is certainly giving him some. He was drafted right before UW CB Elijah Molden, who talking heads would never stop talking about if you ever watched a UW game.

Mills to Texans confirms what we have known all the time: they are bad at football.

I was on my toes with the Niners Lance pick, big fan of the player. Rams are taking Tutu Atwell, all 150 lbs of him, this is worse pick than Tavon Austin haha

Detroit picked up a DT who ate Saffell for lunch when we played him. Good pick by Detroit. My favorite pick so far for day 2 is Teven Jenkins to the Bears.

Doubt it. Not if Rogers is real about his threats that he is done in Green Bay. At this point GB needs to figure out if they get something or nothing for Aaron.

But Rogers can sit out. If he does that the Packers will get nothing for him. If he feels like playing there won't be fun or it won't give him a chance to win a championship, he has made more than enough money to 'retire'. Who knows, maybe he'll take over as the host of Jeopardy. ;-)

If he can't win a championship at Green Bay than why wouldn't he sit out. That's basically what his complaint has been with the Packers front office: they haven't given him the tools to win a championship the way that Tampa did for Brady. If you know you aren't going to win and you have gobs of money, why would you continue to play for a team that you believe has no loyalty to you. Barring some big personnel additions at Green Bay, Aaron is done playing for the Packers.

Gotta be kidding. Green Bay wouldn't deal him earlier when he requested it. Now they are saying zero chance of a trade trying to drive a great deal. But they obviously pissed Aaron off because to come out and say you aren't going back, period, really undermines Green Bay's trade strength. Are they going to gamble that Aaron will return or will they make a deal so they at least get something for him. Aaron indicated he is interested in three teams: SF, Oakland and Denver. If Green Bay management was smart they would take the best offer from the three or they are going to be revealed for how stupid they really are... It's the best time ever to make a deal for Aaron.

I think a deal to Oakland would have to involve some time travel...

Ha! Yes you are right! I'm an Oaktown boy so the Raiders will always be the 'Oakland Raiders' to me. ;-)

The draft hasn't even started yet. There's plenty of time.

Why is it late? I think Rodgers has more leverage to go where he wants with the draft approaching. I don't think he wants a lot of teams. I think he wants the Niners specifically, which is why it is playing out this way. The trick is that they are dangling the #3 pick and the Packers have Jordan Love in wait. That pick will be far more valuable to a team looking to move up for a QB. Shouldn't be hard at all to move that pick though.
