This could be the day where we see some Cal Bears get picked for their NFL shot! Here are the two likely picks we could see.
Patrick McMorris—the only Cal player to be invited to the NFL Combine, the safety could be a late addition in the final rounds to a team in need of defensive back depth.
Jackson Sirmon—Sirmon’s final season at Cal was cut short due to injury, but he has been attracting some attention in the run up to the draft.
Also keep an eye on whether some Cal players get picked up as undrafted free agents. Offensive lineman Matthew Cindric, wide receivers Brian HIghtower and Monroe Young, running back Isaiah Ifanse, defensive lineman Darius Long Jr., and punter Thomas Lee all participated in Pro Day and could attract an invite for a team for summer workouts.
DIscuss Saturday at the NFL Draft with us Cal fans!
McMorris will be a great add by some team and Jackson Sirmon is gonna be big surprise. The kid is a straight out baller and has a super high football IQ. He's strong, has speed, is in the right places and he is physical. Does anyone remember the hit he put on Damien Moore to force the fumble at the UW 1 yard line in OT in 2021? I heard that hit in CA. Sirmon is the dawg and he's gonna be the next London Fletcher. Some team is going to be very happy they signed him.
McMorris!
Ifanse could be a find for a team looking for a powerful and hard to tackle runner. Would not be surprised if he makes a roster.
