3* DT Ashton Sanders Commits To Cal
The Powerful DT out of LA Joins the Bears as our 4th
After exploding unto the college football twitter with one of the best visit videos so far, Sanders decided to verbally commit to Cal.
In the end, it was a 2 team battle between Cal and Wisconsin, both academically minded public schools. He also held offers from ASU, Colorado, Kansas, ND, Utah, and UW. He is ranked as the 54th CA player in his class per Rivals, and 74th DL and 53 player per 247.
He has a 6’3” 295 lbs frame that can easily add more weight for NG or stay at this size to play as a 3-tech/4i-tech DE in the Cal scheme. He already has near P5 upper body strength and plays with a very quick first step to slide past blockers. As a junior, he played both ways as a DT and RT. He even had some snaps where he was an OLB off the edge.
