Nice start indeed. He told Rivals that he plans to use his official visits and plans on going to tOSU for sure. So, we shall see what happens on NLI day...eh?

Is that a tribute to our former safeties coach Greg Burns?

Great get from a great school in the So Cal area. Bosco plays in the Trinity League, considered the toughest in the nation. I hope he helps to recruit some speed to the offense. Maybe not 40-yard-dash speed, but speed that shows up on the field. There was a great article about Cooper Kupp last week and how the Rams got him in the third round. His 40 time during Pro day was 4.62, not impressive enough to put him in a lower round. But he has proved he has incredible field speed and quickness. A couple of guys like that, please.

Great pickup and love his process/reasoning. He'll be a huge asset on and off the field!

Grrrrah! Way to start things off for 2023. I love the way this guy wants to lay down a marker and actively make other players realize that Cal is the place to go.

Not a 4 year decision but a 40+ year decision, stoked to have this guy around

Really good news. Welcome to Cal RJ!

I like that he's ranked a 4* on both 247 and Rivals. More evidence that he's a legitimate blue chip.

Wow!!! Of course, I [swear to Oski] won't get too excited until his NLI comes in next December.....

You don't remember Gerald Alexander? He was our DB coach for first three years under Wilcox. Then came Yates for one year, and last year was Tre Watson.

seriously? You can't remember the secondary coach(es) for the past 3 years?

And if you want to know how many years they were coached by these coaches, you can just do the math. I believe all 3 players were at Cal for 5 years. Ashtyn Davis and Jaylinn Hawkins were coached by I believe Greg Burns during 2015-2016 under Dykes, and 3 years by GA (2017-2019) under Wilcox. Cam Bynum was coached by GA for 3 years (2017-2019) by GA and 1 year (2020) by Yates. I don't remember who was our CB coach in final year of Dykes in 2016. I just remember we had separate CB and Safeties coach under Kaufman, and Bynum was a CB at Cal.

I think the main reason Davis & Hawkins did so well was all of that conditioning in that first year when they were on the field for 58 out of every 60 minutes under Dykes. (Where's the sarcasm font, substack?)
