La Mirada, CA shooting guard Gene Reobuck has committed to Coach Mark Madsen and Cal for the 2027 season, per On3 Sports.
The 6’ 4” shooting guard is the #45 national recruit and #9 SG in the nation. He is Cal’s top ranked recruit since Jaylen Brown and Ivan Rabb in the 2015 recruiting class.
Roebuck’s final list of schools included Washington and Gonzaga. The ability to contribute immediately in the ACC was a major factor in his decision;
““I decided to commit to Cal because of the opportunity to play in the ACC as a freshman and how much the coaching staff believes in me to make a difference right away.”
The Cal program has been recruiting Roebuck since early in Madsen’s tenure as Head Coach. Roebuck has the potential to be a foundational player for Coach Madsen going forward.
