Cal OL verbal Amaziah Siale flips to LSU
The California Golden Bears will need to continue searching for offensive line talent.
A nice win on the Cal recruiting front was short-lived, as three-star offensive tackle Amaziah Siale made the decision to flip from Cal to LSU.
From the moment Siale committed to Cal, the floodgates opened from major programs like Alabama, LSU, Texas and Oklahoma. After a visit this past weekend, Lane Kiffin’s crew appeared to make the best possible pitch to make the flip.
Cal still holds two offensive line commits in IOL Joshua Bunni from Santa Rosa and OT Isaiah Bertola from Honolulu, but it definitely seems like O-line will now be the priority for Tosh Lupoi to try and land some major commits. There are some significant candidates in the pipeline like DaJohn Yarborough and Lex Mailangi, but the net might have to be cast wider to finish out this class.

I had nothing to do with it . . .
Unfortunately, this is the game Cal is in but if recruits can’t see what it’s going to be like playing for an offense with a QB of JKS’ quality, then they belong at LSU! Sure, it’s a pain in the recruiting ass to lose a commitment, but you want guys who buy into Tosh’s vision of where this program is going. If they can’t see it, and can’t see the difference between going to Cal vs LSU, then they deserve everything Baton Rouge, Louisiana has to offer! Good luck with that.
