This is not a good team, even with Andre. The analytics say there really hasn’t been any improvement from last season...just got lucky with the non-conference schedule.
So sorry for Andre. He's a true Bear and if he has played his last game, he will still be remembered for being a stellar player and student. His loss does not excuse the overall poor record and performance of the team. Fox either brings in a top 5 Pac 12 class, or he should be gone.
Damn sucks to hear. I wouldn't have blamed Kelly if he transferred after last year.. Hell, I wouldve even recommended it. He had the tools to be a valuable piece on a team with much higher expectations, and where he could get more exposure if he has aspirations to play at the next level.
First off, I feel awful for Andre. He's been an exemplary Bear and has worked hard and has gotten better and better, game after game, despite a somewhat hopeless situation. He deserves a much better fate, especially when he was really coming into his own. This reminds me a little of the cruel fate that Ed Gray was dealt when he went down late in his final season. This is not a storybook season like that one though. And it's conceivable that we don't win another game. Maybe pick up one or two, but that's really probably the ceiling. The fact that the loss of one player (who's not really star) can sink our season so dramatically really speaks to the overall ill health of the program. We're always on razor's edge just to be marginally competitive.

We're not in any of the conversations for players to deliver us a top 5 class next year. We are more or less off the radar.

Andre will grad transfer next year & get a chance to Dance...go out on a high.
Tough loss but the crew will have to step up and get a W or two before the season is lost.
