Today could be a really tough game for the Bears. After watching my recording of the USC-ASU game, I note that ASU seems really keyed in and well coached, though out-talented. Their special teams were very good (Longhetto nailed his extra points and FG’s, and Z. Branch’s returns were pretty well snuffed out). Pyne played with moxy. ASU’s defense was not bad, considering who they were playing. Their game plan had a shape to it. I don’t know how ASU is a twelve point dog to California; maybe they have no decent, healthy qb options for this game?
Decided to watch Oregon State v Utah tonight. Ouch.
How great is it that Utah gets next week off, so they have an extra week to get angrier before they play Cal at home? 🙄 Just our luck. Not to mention they may get their starting QB back for us. Oh joy... 🤬
Watching NC State / Louisville. Certainly Plummer is an interest, a gateway "drug". Cardinals are one of those "virgin", no loss yet, teams that sometimes draw me into watching/following. Augmented by our imminent entry to the ACC. Seem like this game I'm experiencing a more palpable getting into an ACC state of mind much more so than the few other ones I've seen this year.
Carefully watching the fans, the venue/atmosphere with more tangible interest. Favorably, it's going to be a stimulating, fresh experience from decades of opposing the usual suspects. The rope burns will probably heal after all.
" If anyone actually cared about Stanford football, there would be some hand-wringing about Troy Taylor's decision to kick a field goal while down 21-17 with 3 minutes left. But would you really trust that offense to convert 4th and 17? The odds of that seem lower than kicking the field goal, getting the ball back, and getting back into field goal range for a chance to get the win."
- If this was CAL. I would go for 4th and 17. The odds of us getting 1st down is much higher than us making a field goal. Seriously.
It's pretty clever, actually, they announced this shortly before the season began, perhaps on a hunch they might not bowl, anyway. An effort to stave off deeper NCAA sanctions. I looked it up and Herm made contact with recruits during COVID- Oh, my Heavens.

Definitely bet against that spread. Easy money.
I have a bad feeling about this.

Yep that's bad news for us, alright.

Did everyone see Pummer's pick in the endzone ending a possible game-winning drive?
Sound familiar?
Plummer can be amazing, until he's not.

Hoping to see some good from our new PK.
I think Longhurst, once he finds his rhythm, is gonna' be great.
ASU at Cal tomorrow. I have to go just to see the show. I just don't know what kind of a game it will be. Go Bears Damit!
Key word: Damit.
We're angry Bears and I don't doubt that they're angry Sun Devils.
What the Hell did Herm Edwards do that was so horrible they decided to geld their own season?
Well, if I recall my reading, castrati e.g Farinelli, could have intercourse. But no conceiving and resulting bowlth.
