Thank you for the write up. I recently moved just outside of Greenville SC and will be about a 30 minute drive to Clemson. Looking forward to seeing my Bears there as well as other ACC locations. For those interested, the Greenville airport is nice and small and a little over an hour from Clemson.

Good post. I used to live in Greenville and my dad had played for Clemson in the early 50's before I was born. Greenville is a nice, little airport and closer than Charlotte!

The people in the are are generally very nice. Go see CAL play in Death Valley. It's a great football experience, you will make new friends and see some beautiful country... but, yeah, there's not much touristy stuff around.

Don't believe the trolls that post the people are bad. That's just pointless and wrong. Clemson fans aren't even particularly unpleasant to Gamecocks anymore...

If you haven't been in a while, they've done an amazing job at revitalizing downtown and the westside - beautiful town. Possibly the only issue is MANY people (like me) are moving here. I've met many Clemson fans in town and went to a couple of basketball games, very nice people - Gamecock fans as well. I will definitely traveling to Death Valley (and regionally) for Cal games!

In my mind right now, based upon way too little information, I view Clemson as the new UW. They will have a strong program and lots of their fans will be annoying, but the core of their fans who actually went to the school will be people we come to like and respect.

Boy, do I dread the feeling I'll get when we play teams I never gave a thought to instead of SC or UCLA, or Washington, or Oregon, etc. I pray that for some unseen reason the PAC 12 re appears.

I also pray that seismic shifts will reunite the P12. On the other hand, take advantage of the opportunity to check out ACC campus areas. There are some REALLY BEAUTIFUL schools with great sports experiences. Tobacco Road is basketball like you've never seen in some wonderful towns in beautiful country! Charlottesville sits in the Shenandoah Valley which IMO is the most beautiful in all the US of A. Use this brief sojourn as an excuse to enjoy something new. Then let's get the band back together... OH, one my favorite memories as a kid was going to Winston-Salem for a Deacons basketball game. Krispy Kreme # 1 stays open late after home games and a bunch of fans, not just Wake Forest supporters, all pile in for donuts after...!
