Serious bummer for Brett. That dude is all about competition. Plays with a fire you don't see in every player. Reminds me of Alex Mack driving every defender into the ground, well away from the ball. Bummer for our season, and he alone makes a big difference in our Dline. But delighted to hear he has 2 or 3 years remaining. With the incoming freshman, we should be stout along the Dline in the coming years. Go Bears!
Praying for a quick and full recovery. Hoping for a happy outcome - reminds of Mike Tepper, the O-lineman who got run over by a car, breaking a leg his first season, and came back strong for a great career at Cal.
That is awful news indeed. Hope he has a quick and full recovery and he's back to terrorizing Pac-12 offenses next year! And of course he has no long lasting impact of the injury
BREAKING: DL Brett Johnson to Miss 2021 Season
Oof. I hope he recovers well. Hips are nasty injuries. He is a special talent, one of the few that can handle the 4i position.

Awful news for Brett – hope he can recover quickly and come back stronger than ever.
Also makes me think Gabe Cherry removing himself from the transfer portal was for a good reason.... https://twitter.com/BlitzCfb/status/1382350835586379776?s=20
DOOOOMMMMMM.... Get well Brett :'(
Oh no! I hope he recovers completely. The kid is a stud and will be missed, but more important is his health.

Because Cal...here's to a safe and speedy recovery.
Bad news. Hopefully we can get someone from the transfer portal...
Happy that the surgery went well and he is on track for full recovery. Not sure of details but car accidents could easily have gone wrong.
But we sure are going to miss him on the field.
