Entering the portal does not mean he’s out, however, it is a bad sign that someone so interwoven with the fabric of the university and program is headed into the portal.
If we can't keep the best representative of this football team in decades, then what are we doing? Unless it's for his Mom and the University of Miami, then I understand.
So much for Mendoza’s legacy as a Cal legend. He’ll go down as a solid QB here, nothing more.
