Rivalry week be damned, the biggest non-Cal game this week is BYU–USC. A USC win means they stay in the hunt for bowl eligibility; if California can pull off the upset over UCLA, then that makes next week’s bout a battle for a bowl berth. BYU, on the other hand, is playing for Pac-12 supremacy; they are one of two teams undefeated in Pac-12 action and are looking to improve to 5–0 against the conference.
There is a whole bevy of rivalry games that aren’t worth your time. The Platypus Off will have a major impact in the North. The Apple Cup will be forever remembered in trivia questions. And the Rumble in the Rockies will continue to not matter to anyone except neurotics like me who want every Pac-12 member to have an in-region rival.
Based on the end of the game, the Civil War is still the Civil War, eh? I feel sorry for a player on Cal if they acted that way, Wilcox would be swift in punishment.
Not so fast my friends, 31-21. Oregon State keeps chasing points and has missed three 2 point attempts. If they had just kicked the extra point they would be down by a TD.
CJ Stroud is really good. All the QBs behind him at OSU might want to start looking at the transfer portal because they aren’t seeing the field anytime soon.
Sad state of affairs indeed. We had a shot at the end of regulation but Longhetto's try was short. Should have won in OT. For that matter we should have beaten Oregon as well. The softest 3rd ranked team (recently dethroned). I'd take OSU over Oregon in this one as Oregon's run D isn't that good and Thibideaux can't be everywhere.
And somehow found quite a few different ways to screw the pooch just enough to make U of A's entire f-ing season...COVID or not, that was just a stunning example of ineptitude on a football field.
With the decimated O line we couldn't run the ball very well. Still, I would have kept it on the ground 80% of the time. Glover's passing was terrible.
Oh, I agree and I refuse to buy into the Covid excuse. We were down two starting OL due to Covid and the terrible play by the backup QB wasn’t due to Covid.
Technically 2015 and 1 year of eligibility left, but yeah he's been around forever. I think he'll declare for the NFL though and try to sign on as an UDFA kick returner.
Not directly related to the games today, but I'm loving how many coaches are ostensibly giving USC the middle finger. If they end up with a has-been retread who's worse than Helton I'd be ecstatic
SDSU beats Boise State to win the West division of the MWC. Solid win by SDSU. QB switch brought a spark to the offense and the defense clamped down in the 2nd quarter.
Bama tied the game against Auburn on a 28 yard TD pass that looked like the Bama WR got away with OPI.
A State over Zona 38-15. The only bright spot in their season was victory over Cal.
Based on the end of the game, the Civil War is still the Civil War, eh? I feel sorry for a player on Cal if they acted that way, Wilcox would be swift in punishment.
Ducks up over Beavs 14-3 heading to the 2nd quarter.
Up 24-3 at halftime.
24-9, 2 pt-conversion fails.
31-9, game is more than likely over.

Took 40 minutes to play the last 3:00 of regulation with all of the penalties and fisticuffs!
I missed it as I had changed to the Bama/Auburn game. What happened?
Go Blue!
So Michigan will probably move up to 2 now.
Georgia is winning easily today.
Cincinnati won yesterday.
Bama still has to play Auburn.
Right now:
1. Georgia
2. Michigan
3. Bama
4. Cincinnati
That Michigan OL is just bulldozing OSU right now. Bully ball.
CJ Stroud is really good. All the QBs behind him at OSU might want to start looking at the transfer portal because they aren’t seeing the field anytime soon.
Michigan 28-20 over The Ohio State U.
35-20 now. Michigan OL is dominating and Michigan's defense is doing just enough to keep OSU offense in check.
35-27 with 4:45 left
And now it's over. Up by 15 with only a couple minutes to go. Ran right over them.
Yup. Michigan with the ball and 1:02 left.
Michigan needed that scoring drive.
Michigan came out pretty strong but when OSU came back I thought they might take over. Michigan hanging tough.
Yeah, I thought the same as well.
Poor pass by McNamara picked off and it cost Michigan at least a FG.
I am loving the snow for this OSU/Michigan game.
I am rooting for Michigan.
I don't know about you guys, but I am LOVING the Pac12 rivalry underdogs just taking the bad guys to the woodshed. You know what to do OSU
Is Huard supposed to be good? He looks terrible out there. 3 picks already and 100 yards passing.
I thought he sucked.
I still can’t believe we lost to this dog shit stain that they call UW football.

At least offensively - the D actually held up alright at Tucson…let’s get the next 2 and render it nil
And Jonathan Smith agreed to an extension at OSU
ESPN apparently reporting that sonny dykes will be new head coach at TCU
Where does Sonny go next? He seems to like the coaching carousel.
I think that’s a good fit and a better program than Texas Tech.
(SMU?)
Agree
I feel like Coveys freshman year was 2014 and he still has 3 years of eligibility left.
The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People.

This Colorado team has no functional offense but found a way to beat UW and is currently within 1 point of Utah.
It’s the No Head Coach Apple Cup. I think WSU wins.
And Nebraskas last two possession of the game went:
Punt
Interception
Nebraska had three consecutive possessions that ended the following ways:
Punt block for a TD
Fumble
Safety
I am shocked Frost is being brought back.
Utah is wearing their Stanford lookalike uniforms today.
5 win Sark beats KSU to snap a 5 game losing streak.
