Leaving the bowl game out of it, felt like they were trending towards "good" as Mendoza took over down the stretch. Hopefully some of that growth can be maintained.
There's just a lot of questions on football next year, and I don't think us getting a new chancellor and AD is going to bode well for Wilcox. With Ott staying, it really will be a make or break year for Wilcox else the new AD will want his own man in there.
Losing Jake Spavital is a blow to the Offense. Hopefully, the new OC can continue to build on the success of the 2023 team. The Offense in the bowl game, (after Spavital left), was predictable, poorly executed & unimaginative, so there are definitely some concerns.
I was also appalled by the offense in Louisiana and even though I've heard we had some offensive line injuries, that doesn't explain the overall inability to execute for the final three quarters. Always amazing that one coach can so change a team, better or worse, from one game to the next.
So true. Hopefully, with a full offseason to prepare, Mike Bloesch can get the offense humming. Need more diversity in the run game play calling, not everything is a QB - Ott RPO.
With a host of new WR's, hopefully, that will be a strong suit for the Cal Offense.

Right now, my head is in basketball season
And this is a HUGE week with USC Wednesday at 8PM vs USC and Bronny James, and vs UCLA on Saturday 2:30PM
Let's sell out and support this team!
