His highlight tape is difficult to gauge. The vast amount of interceptions on his highlight reel were rainbow lollipops or telegraphed outs that he easily undercut. He had some good press coverage tape as a DB. I'm going to have to trust coaches on the scouting on this one because I couldn't find enough tape to really have a strong opinion on him. If you're an optimist, you know that really good defensive backs don't have any highlights because QBs don't throw in their direction.

ALL we need is OLine depth and we're good. Top 15. When was the last time the Football and basketball programs were nationally ranked?

Love your enthusiasm, but there are huge question marks at other position groups starting with quarterback. When you look at past Cal seasons where Cal started a qb with little to no college playing experience, they were mostly all losing campaigns. Just off the top of my head....Dave Barr in 1992, Justin Vedder in 1997, Kyle Boller in 1999, Jerod Goff in 2013, Ross Bowers in 2017. I think the upcoming season is going to be a struggle, too, at least until Jackson or someone else finds his footing and a reliable number two at running back emerges injury free.
