Cal Adds Stand Out RB Recruit AJ Sanders III to 2027 Class
Another skill position player
The Lupoi industrial complex does not sleep, it only recruits. Already in the middle of the big-get weekend, Cal adds another offensive weapon, C.E. King back AJ Sanders III. The three-star is the 63rd ranked RB in the nation, and 5th in Texas. Sanders received 63 offers from schools, including LSU, Alabama, Texas, among others.
Sanders recorded 82 carries for 769 yards and 10 touchdowns for the ascendant C.E. King, a Houston, Texas high school that fell to DeSoto in the 6A championship.
Welcome to Berkeley, AJ!

High school football is funny. You recruit for what a guy will be, not what he is or was. Sanders was second string as a junior, but third on the team in carries behind a senior who was only 5'10 but racked up nearly 2,000 yards and a senior run-happy mobile QB. He got as many carries because they tended to blow out their competition because they had an all-American at WR, D-1 recruits at QB and RB, and a very good offensive line. This upcoming season, CE King will field a team with exactly one pass attempt in experience at QB, so Sanders will likely feast this fall.
