I am inclined to say that all the canceled games mean that the COVID protocols are working...and an unfortunate reflection of the growing cases around the country (like many experts had predicted for this winter).
Yeah, I agree. I was super excited too, and I am super disappointed right now. But we always knew they might easily cancel any game. Anyway I'm really disappointed, but don't think it's ridiculous or maddening.
OSU has a positive case and some players are in quarantine. Even if the OSU-Washington game goes on as scheduled it's possible that OSU might not be able to play next week against Cal.
WE’RE GOING TO LAAAAA
Woot, Woot!
At least they changed that idiotic verbiage "The Pac 12 has approved a request from.. to cancel.."
It now looks like OSU-UW will happen tomorrow, however the UCLA-UTAH game is canceled so there is a chance Cal will play UCLA on Sunday per Wilner

Undefeated! Go Bears!
FWIW, I’m glad the CoB rules didn’t cause this (not that I’m glad anyone else is sick). I hope we get at least ONE game in this season...... Sigh....

Yup. These cancellations all suck, but they're exactly what we expected when we signed up for this season.
Guess the silver lining is that this gives the D-line to get back up to speed...
Not apropos of this latest cancellation, but I just realized that our home opener (if it gets played) will be The Big Game. Strange times.
Sigh...
This is now bordering on ridiculous.
It's more like trying to play a season was ridiculous to begin with, so this was pretty much expected, wasn't it?
In hindsight I can agree, but I was SO EXCITED when Pac-12 decided to play (knowing the risks), so I gotta stick with that stance.

SI says there's a chance Cal may play Washington Saturday, but the Huskies are set to play Oregon State...so not sure how this could happen.
OSU is having issues themselves. Also game would potentially be played Sun not Sat
That sounds great. Let's hope we play Washington on Sunday then. They already game planned for UW so it works.

Well, darn. But it's the right thing to do. I hope coach Edwards fully recovers.
