The Golden Bears were out gained 430-326 yards, but still managed a victory
Despite a series of close calls, the California Golden Bears (3-2, 1-1 Pac-12) overcame the Arizona State Sun Devils (1-4, 0-2 Pac-12), 24-21, bouncing back after a shellacking last week.
California quarterback Sam Jackson V struggled with play Saturday afternoon, completing only 41% of his passes. Jackson V connected on 12 out of 29 passes for 130 yards and one touchdown thrown.
The Golden Bears had better luck holding the rock. California out-rushed Arizona State 196 yards to 68, with Golden Bear star running back finishing the day with 165 rushing yards and one touchdown. Redshirt senior tailback Isaiah Ifanse added another touchdown and 26 rushing yards to bring his career total past 4,000.

Terrible. Absolute garbage game that was way too close. Just a typical Wilcox win where we can’t do shot on offense and it comes down to the defense making a stop. Downfield passing is still non-existent. Sam was not good, going 11-26 at one point for 129. But hey, we made our kicks.
