As of 8/5/2024: If UC Berkeley was a country - it would be third in the Olympics for swimming medal count behind the US and Australia, but ahead of China
We adore Camryn Rogers. Met her two years ago at the World Athletics Championships in Eugene the morning after she won Gold. Intelligent, kind and a true champion.
It's a pretty good Olympic for Stanford - lots of medals from the pool between Ledecky, Regan Smith, and Torri Huske. Interestingly, both Ledecky and Smith have moved on from The Farm to train elsewhere this cycle.
Stanford also have plenty of Olympians on USA women's soccer and women's watar polo who will likely medal in addition to the medals already from men's gymnastics.
2 Furd guys on the men's gymnastics team also. The Farm is kicking butt in this Olympics. While there would be more red in the graph, someone should merge all the Stanford and Cal Olympians, tally the medals, and send to Big 10 group asking THESE are all the athletes you didn't want in your conference?! (i know, revenue sports blah blah blah). I wonder what Big 10 total medals would be vs Standford/Cal total?
I forgot to include an update on runner Georgia Bell (Great Britain), who did advance out of her heat of the 1500m earlier today. She is also still in contention for a medal.
Canadian Women's Water Polo (Emma Wright, Kindred Paul) were eliminated by Spain in their quarterfinal match earlier today. It does look like Dutch Women's Water Polo (Kitty Lynn Joustra) will defeat Italy in their quarterfinal match, they are ahead 10-7 with under two minutes left.

God this makes me proud…Go Bears!
Thank you for assembling this. Ruey.
Congratulations to our Bear Olympians.
Might be interesting to do a Cal vs Stanfurd Olympic medal count. Of course, would have to include Katie Ladecky (sp?) in the “S” count, but who else?
Oh—apparently the Tree is in Paris & was featured in a segment on NBC.
