I don't ever recall having two QBs represent Cal at a media day, or on promotion videos.

I'm a little surprised they brought Rodgers. Thought maybe someone like Uluave.

Yeah, Uluave is definitely the face of the program. I think he's on other promotions so maybe it just didn't work out.

Maybe they didn't want to show favoritism of Mendoza over Rodgers.

Yeah I'm sure, and the QB1 is still up for grabs. But it's so rare to see two QBs present. It's also nice that we have two good QB1 materials.

A delicate balance when you have similar levels of starters, which every competitive team needs. The next man up should be nearly as good as the starter. Remember Steve Young sat on the bench for a couple of years behind Joe Montana. Team player does what's best for the team, but these days of the Portal *POOF* coaches need to keep a wider rotation.

I'm glad I'm not coaching.

Watched every little video I could find and my inner sunshine pumping is beginning. Please, oh please, make the nation more aware of the greatness of UC Berkeley as a place of the highest academics and athletic excellence.

I agree, wide spread recognition would be nice which is why I think we should be know nationally as California…

I have to poke fun because I'm so deeply sick and tired of the east coast or at least non-West coast bias of the entire nation. the Pac12 dissolving inflames my irritation. California, Oregon and WA are only three states and yet make up a vast % of the nation's wealth and intellectual property. Not to mention military might. Not to mention natural beauty. As far as I'm concerned the midwest, south and east should be the ones needing to defend their credibility because sure as hell the West shouldn't need to.

Word to the damned Easterners.

I growed up calling everything east of Colorado, "back East."

Got to love leading the nation in defensive takeaways! If they can keep that going and just tighten up the D overall, could be a great year, especially if special teams can be consistently good. QB play should be at least as good as at the end of last year, almost certainly better. O-Line should be a bit better, and Ott is a phenom. All the pieces are there...

Honestly, I want Justin Wilcox to be our coach going forward and, especially, navigating this dramatic change in conference.

But, I, and nearly all Cal football fans, want results.

I will be on pins and needles as we start this season.

GO!

Watershed moment.

Sort of juggling knives while walking on eggshells during an earthquake.

But we need the results and emergence of our brand.
