All of the California Golden Bears at Augusta held steady in the third round of the Masters. Two Bears are very much in contention to win it all.
Here are the current standings going into the final round.
Second, Collin Morikawa: -6 (tee time 11:35 AM Pacific). Morikawa is a shot behind Scottie Scheffler after shooting 69 on Saturday, going into the final round and will be playing in the final group with him. 28 of the last 33 Masters winners have come from the final group. Can Morikawa land the third leg of his Career Grand Slam?
Third, Max Homa: -5 (tee time 11:25 AM Pacific). Homa is in pursuit of his first major and drilled his way to par after par. A hot round on Sunday in the next-to-last group could lift him to the green jacket.
Tied for ninth, Ben An: -1 (tee time 10:55 AM Pacific). An has flown under the radar but is in the top ten and with a bit of a run could put himself in contention on Saturday.
Coverage can be found on CBS starting at 11 AM, with additional coverage before that to track An, Morikawa, Homa individually on Paramount+ and The Masters website/app
Morikawa has won a Major, the British Open. That gives him more cred at this time. Surely he and Max will win more majors. Disappointed they didn’t win but golf is a fickle game. Two class guys and great Bears!
Take home that green polyester jacket, Collin or Max.
Wool jacket.
Amen Corner claims the Bears.
Collin Morikawa water drop at 11 puts him at -3, five shots back. Two double bogeys in three holes.
Max Homa unplayable at 12 leads to a double bogey, putting him at -5, three shots back.
And yesterday when Morikawa walked in after finishing I swear I heard a ‘Go Bears’. Anyone hear it too?
Man both tied for second! Hope new Chancellor promotes the heck out of all our sports winners! Just wow is what I say about this Masters!
They give a lot of attention to Moriikawa. Don’t talk much about Homa. Wonder why?

The PGA is one of the majors. He won the PGA and the British Open. They are the two.
