Picked 8th. Sounds about like the last 50 plus years. And yet they trot out the same boring story every year. Last conference title.was 1980 and any sustained success was much further back than that. When is the administration going to expect more? Or maybe they are perfectly satisfied with bottom half results...it sure seems that way. Great individual players have come through the program, but the program itself has been mediocre for decades. Especially with the A's leaving Cal has a huge opportunity to elevate the program with new leadership, new marketing, facilities improvements, etc. which could generate a huge amount of interest and success. Does anyone at the top even care?

Nice. Thanks Ruey. Pa Chitwood played SS at Evans Diamond for Coach Wolfman back in the day…wish we could build a consistently good program but as with most Cal sports, it’s really just a whole bunch of meh with a few good seasons scattered in, here and there.

But hope springs eternal…

Looks like these games are being streamed for free. Even the one tonight that's on MLB Network.

It's so strange to see Neu get an impact class every three years and then the pattern of when the hitter click the pitchers don't and vice versa. Sucks all the more when you see Esquer doing his thing on the farm...

Cal baseball has been brutal to say the least. They usually have no problem hitting the ball. Since Neu has been around the pitching has been sub par and the wins have become hard to find, can’t remember the last time cal was a top tier pac 12 team. Let’s turn it around guys!

Probably the CWS year with Semien. They’ve been decidedly mediocre since.
