I’m still angry regarding Cal being blatantly overlooked for inclusion in last year’s NCAA tournament. There is no way they didn’t get the (in any rational analysis) the necessary wins (swept Oregon State, swept UConn) to qualify. There was also no hotter team in the final 25 games of the season. Absolute travesty. I wonder how many years will pass before Cal has another season (36 wins!) as good. Yet, they have no postseason to show for it. I hope Neu, his staff and the team are more optimistic than I.
Last year was a sweet exception. Complete sham that they weren’t rewarded for it. Lomavita was an exceptional player and leader, a talent very difficult to replace. Their middle infielders have a chance to build on special Freshman seasons, though. I’ll be at Evans supporting this team.

Agreed, they were robbed last year. And unfortunately while great players have come through, Cal baseball has been middling with rare exception.
