If I were Fox I would tell Knowlton that I was stepping aside after the season if things don't improve after Pac-12 play starts. This can't be fun for anyone.
“I can assure you that nobody is more frustrated than Coach Fox and myself.” Yeah but I bet getting paid a million bucks a year to be incompetent blunts that frustration, Jim.
So, if Knowlton still has Fox on board, I find it very difficult to believe that no one is more frustrated with these results than he is. As for Fox, man, are you still here?
Fox and Knowlton should pull a Shaw and "voluntarily" retire. Neither of them will cuz this is the last job either of them will ever be paid this type of money. At best, Fox will be working in a concession both in the Chase Center while Knowlton will be checking tickets at the door.
Two worthless jabronis fleecing Cal.
I've written to Knowlton several times over the past 3 years sharing my above statements. If I respect anyone any less than Knowlton, I can't think of whom it could be.
I forget who W4C readers were favoring right before Fox was hired. Certainly was too early to hire Gates, who was just starting as Cleveland State's head coach, though he did do some great recruiting for FSU right beforehand. He would make a great hire now, but is just starting his run at Missouri's head coach.
No way we will be able to recruit better players until there is a change in coaching. I suspect another coach can also do more with the current roster too. Aside from a few pick and rolls, yesterday we mostly just passed on the perimeter and shot 3s. The amount of lost ticket revenue this year is staggering. Although it traces back to Wyking, Fox has proven not to be the right guy to fix the program. Fox was put in a difficult spot, but has had time to put his Mark on the program. The current situation is record book historic in the worst way in all of college basketball major conferences. How can we ever recruit into this program now? If Knowltons goal is to do away with competitive athletics at cal, he is succeeding. There is no other explanation for such incompetence.
Knowlton went to West Point. He's a follow-the-rules, respect and honor rank kind of guy obviously. But who thought this would be a good fit in Berkeley?
Good luck getting rid of Knowlton — they signed him to an extension last year through 2029. I guess the great state of the athletic department was too much to avoid throwing millions more at that buffoon. SMH
Cal Men's Basketball: Losing Streak Continues, Bears Fall to Butler 58-82
Every night on the schedule looks impossible when you play like this.

Time for the two frustrated men to go...Fox and Knowlton.
Yes "We are all disappointed in the results..."!! Time for Knowlton and his hires to go!!
Definitely hard to watch and a real head scratcher.
“We’re all disappointed with the results so far this season”.
Just “this” season?
Apparently they made the water polo team show up for this game. That's mean.

Put this season in football terms. 2017 Cleveland Browns?
Or, Cal football terms.. Dykes year 1?
