Thanks for this. I'm certainly pleased with our progress this year as I had been quite blue prior to the season. Our ceiling isn't very high, but at least we are playing well together for the most part and having fun. We just don't have the athletes to compete with top teams, but we do have the size and ability to beat average teams and worse. The broadcasters often comment on the size of the Cal team. A lot of 6'8 dudes. Loving Alijiki, who certainly may be another coming of Jorge Gutierrez. Who would have guessed the Jorge would have the senior year he had? And to see Kelly do so well is a credit to him and the coaches. I'll be satisfied with a mid-tier placement this year, and thrilled with a Tourney berth if we can get to 20.
I don't think we can generate enough reliable offense outside Kelly post touches and Kelly pick and rolls to win 20. Our other best offensive options right now are Grant shooting and scoring off offensive rebounds and Shepard isolations - which is something we need, but he's only shooting 36% from the field.
Bears MBB is a bit of a surprise in a good way. I'm hoping for a good run starting now which might get us to 10-5, and maybe just maybe a tournament appearance, but that might only be the NIT.
The OSU coach's wife Ivana must be excited.
I'll give us splits with Stanfurd, UW, ASU, 2 over OSU and one upset for 6 pac-12 wins and a final regular-season record of 14-17.

Alijiki does seem to have that Jorge quality.

Even Lars is getting some minutes and generally being productive while in there instead of being a foul machine.

I'd update that to "maybe just maybe a winning record"
I am really looking forward to watching Curry live in February.
