Way too early observations...Cal MBB has some serious athletes this season! Not saying they'll be better than last year's team but no question they are quicker and more athletic. Fast break city!

Sammy Yeanay is a beast!

I think the one constant is Madsen creating a scheme that fits his personnel. So far, looks like these guys are looking for cardio.

In the past we just didn't have enough guys with P4 talent to consistently beat the better ACC teams. We're looking like Showtime tonight and that's without Dort. Houston and SC will be one heck of a test next week.

No idea what to take away from Madsen's squad against this opponent, but our guys are looking to break out in transition from anywhere in the East Bay.

43 points at the under 8…DII or not that’s impressive for a team where O was a question….

Has Cal run this type of run and gun offense before under Madsen or is this the first time? The other team is absolutely gassed! I guess he's doing it because of the athletes and depth we've got this year?

Well wasn’t that fun and hope producing? I recall when we would lose games like this under Fox or Jones. I liked our passing and positioning. We look explosive and deep. Above the rim play looks sweet. We will know a lot more against Houston, but this team has some nice elements and plays loose. Given the dumpster fire of football this is a breath of fresh air! A well coached team playing hard!

Not sure how much we can take away from a game against an opponent like this. Team chemistry? Active hands?

OK, OK....there is hope again.
