On one hand, Arizona's offense is really good. But on the other hand, their defense is really good.

Well Go Bears! I mean it. Sure we could have lost by even more if they hadn't played the bench as much as they did, but in that second half, we played hard, played pretty smart, and made it fun to watch. They had spirit. Can't mind losing that way to perhaps a top 4 team in the whole damn country. I think Cal learned a ton, and saw they could compete with teams like that if they play their best. I take this as a win in the "build the team" column. I don't doubt Madsen knows full well what he needs to do with recruiting and player development to get this team to eventually beat Arizona.

If we're going to have a historically bad shooting night, might as well be in a game we would have lost anyway..

But Cone is too short to be doing our inbound passes.

Pretty bad when both teams can put the scout teams in the first half

This is just the worst. I’m ok with losing to Arizona because they are good, but just getting fucking destroyed is the shit I’m sick of.

First half was bad, granted, but that second half showed more of what this team is capable of doing. It bodes well for our season.

Shot 26% from the field and a microscopic 12.9% on three point attempts. Some poor shot selection, some poor shots on open threes and some terrible ball movement. Did not look like a team that can compete with the upper tier of the conference. Very dispiriting performance. Of course Furd is full of five star recruits and has a hall of fame coach. Cal has neither.
