In the end, I hope that the players view this game as a learning experience that will lead to better things during the 2nd half of the season. I hope we come out just as strong against Colorado. If I were Wilcox I would stress that this is a new season over the final six games and not dwell on the losses.
After watching the game again last night, I would like to see more of Brooks, Moore, and Street running the ball straight at the defense in the upcoming game with Colorado. Not so much the sweeps, or even the bubble screen passes. Just right at the defense and off tackle. Throughout the entire game, consistently.
Why did we stop running the ball? Especially with Brooks? He ripped off two really good runs in a row, they pull him and put Moore in who gets to the LOS. Some of these coaching calls are baffling.
