Since I don't want to mention that awful game, I thought this would be a good time to ask, because of the portal, are we are going have a new team every year?
While Year 1 recruitment was "get guys who can play this year, period," my take is that Madsen & co. went for players with more eligibility before Year 2 in hopes of balancing the roster going forward.
Do you see anyone from last year's team playing even semi-regularly on this team? After last season, 4 guys left due to eligibility and the NBA, and 6 transfered out. It looks like we might be headed for a repeat with this team.
Maybe the team is what it is talent-wise, but it doesn't feel like we're getting cooked by NBA talent (which would be an largely unsolvable issue). It feels like there's something we could be doing, but aren't. I just don't know enough about basketball to recognize that stuff.
It would be a long list but one step in the right direction would be taken if they avoided letting their opponents get 6 point possessions. Hopefully, coach will work on that in practice or have a team meeting on the subject.

Although eligibility math is not an exact science, the men's basketball team only has four players on our roster noted as a "Sr." or "Gr.": https://calbears.com/sports/mens-basketball/roster

IMO... a big upgrade for Cal 's performance this game vs the awful SDState game.
Except that Pitt was sans its leading scorer.
Thanks Nick!
Thank you Nick! Is it more common than I think for teams to lose by double digits after having double digit leads in multiple games?
