I’d say I would be absolutely shocked IF he got drafted, but a guy with a 26-28 overall record, 10 games below .500 in conference, just turned down $4 million a year to coach at his legacy alma mater which also happens to be one of the best football programs west of the Mississippi....suffice it to say, I’m re-evaluating what can & can’t happen with Cal football as everything seems to be on the table, except the Rose Bowl of course...
Slovis or whomever makes no difference, it's all about the OL and that is really what we need from the portal. If we get several QBs from the portal and one of them wins the job, Millner may head to the portal himself. Cal needs 2 QBs this cycle and 4 - 5 tackles. Any tackle news?
If you never give the redshirt Freshman a chance because you're scared, he'll never develop. And with how the transfer portal is, just transferring people in above him is how you get him to leave.
When would we reasonably expect to land a QB or anyone in the mighty, mystical portal? I am not familiar with the either the formal timing parameters associated with it, or the practice/experience of what actually happens
I remember feeling like he demolished us with UCLA, and I just checked. He filled in for Rosen, throwing 14/18 for almost 200 yards as a backup. That's pretty bad.
